In short: Our private aviation and FBO car service connects Mercer County with the private terminals, or FBOs, at Teterboro (TEB), Trenton-Mercer (TTN) and Morristown Municipal (MMU). Teterboro is about 56 miles from Princeton, usually around 70–90 minutes without heavy traffic; Trenton-Mercer is about 13 miles. Send the FBO name and tail number, and we plan the ride around wheels-down, with a written quote before you book.
How an FBO transfer differs from an airline pickup
A fixed base operator, or FBO, is the private terminal where business jets and charter flights load and unload. There is no curb line and no baggage carousel. You walk from the aircraft through a lobby, and your car should be waiting when you do.
That changes how we plan the ride:
- The schedule is yours, not an airline's. Departure times move when your plans move, so we keep in touch with you or your flight department rather than a public timetable.
- Each FBO has its own rules. Where a car may wait, whether it can come airside, and how guests are escorted all vary. We follow the instructions of the FBO you are using.
- Luggage is often bulkier. Golf bags, skis and cases for equipment are common on private flights, so we size the vehicle for them.
- Discretion matters. We can leave names off signs and keep the meeting low-key.
Teterboro Airport car service (TEB)
Teterboro Airport in Bergen County is owned and run by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. It serves private and corporate aviation only, with no scheduled airline flights, which makes it a common choice for business jets heading to and from the New York area. Several FBOs operate on the field, each with its own building and entrance.
From Mercer County the drive runs north on the NJ Turnpike for most of the way. It is about 56 miles from Princeton and about 64 miles from Trenton. Tolls on your route are listed in your written quote.

Trenton-Mercer (TTN) private terminals
Trenton-Mercer Airport in the West Trenton section of Ewing Township is owned and run by Mercer County. Alongside its airline terminal, it serves corporate and private aircraft through private terminals on the airfield. For Princeton-area executives it is the shortest hop to a private flight we cover: about 13 miles from Princeton and only a few minutes from Ewing, Pennington and Yardley.
The FBO lineup at TTN has changed recently, so please give us the exact FBO name from your itinerary rather than just the airport. For airline flights from the same airport, see our Trenton-Mercer Airport car service.
Morristown Municipal (MMU)
Morristown Municipal Airport is owned by the Town of Morristown and sits in the Whippany section of Hanover Township in Morris County. Like Teterboro, it is used by business and private aircraft serving north Jersey and the New York area. Drive times from Mercer County depend on your starting point and the hour, so we give you an estimate with your quote.
Departures: getting you to the FBO
Private departures need far less lead time than an airline flight, but the exact time comes from your operator or flight crew, not from us. Ask them when they would like passengers at the FBO, then tell us. We work back from that time, add the drive and a traffic buffer, and suggest a pickup time in your quote.
For a Teterboro departure from Princeton at 8:00 a.m. on a weekday, with the crew asking for passengers by 7:30, a pickup around 5:45 a.m. leaves room for north Jersey rush hour. Your chauffeur drops you at the FBO entrance and helps with your bags until the FBO staff take over. If your departure slips, message us and we adjust the pickup.
What to send us when you book
- Aircraft and FBO. The tail number and the name of the FBO at each end, from your trip sheet.
- Timing. Your expected departure or arrival time, and a contact at your charter operator or flight department if updates will come from them.
- Passengers and bags. How many people, plus golf clubs, skis, pets or anything oversized.
- Pickup preferences. Lobby or, if the FBO allows it, the aircraft; a name sign, a company name or no sign.
- Onward plans. Straight home, or stops for meetings along the way.
We reply with a written quote listing the rate and any tolls, parking, airport or FBO fees and gratuity. Nothing is charged online.
Meetings, roadshows and same-day returns
Private flights often mean a full day on the ground. If you fly into Teterboro for meetings in Manhattan or north Jersey and fly back out the same evening, book an hourly chauffeur who stays with you between stops, with your bags kept in the car. Companies that move executives or clients regularly can set this up through our corporate car service, with one point of contact for every trip.
Vehicles for private aviation transfers
A luxury sedan suits one to three passengers traveling light. A luxury SUV seats up to six with four to six bags, and handles golf clubs and winter weather well. For larger parties, such as a team flying to an event, an executive van keeps everyone together. Seating and luggage space differ by model, and your quote spells out the vehicle class. See the fleet for details.
