In short: From Bordentown, Philadelphia International is the nearer large airport: about 43 miles, usually around 50–65 minutes without heavy traffic. Ivory Route Limousine's car service and limo service cover Bordentown City and Bordentown Township, plus rides to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and Atlantic City, each booked from a written quote.

Bordentown City and Bordentown Township

Bordentown is really two towns. Bordentown City, which separated from the township in 1877, is the compact historic district where Crosswicks Creek meets the Delaware River. Bordentown Township surrounds it on most sides and is larger and more suburban. The two share a municipal court, and the Bordentown Regional School District serves both, along with Fieldsboro.

For a car service, the difference mostly affects the approach. In the city, many streets are lined with historic homes, so we confirm where your chauffeur can stop safely. Township addresses sit closer to US-130, US-206, I-295 and the Turnpike, which usually means a quick start to the highway.

Bordentown airport transportation: Philadelphia first

Bordentown is one of the towns in our area where Philadelphia International is the shorter airport drive. At about 43 miles, it is usually around 50–65 minutes without heavy traffic. That makes PHL a natural choice for southbound trips and early-morning flights. Our Philadelphia airport car service page covers terminal pickups and meet & greet.

Atlantic City International is about 57 miles, usually around 85–110 minutes. It has limited airline service, so check your airline, but when a flight there suits you, see the Atlantic City airport car service page.

Bordentown to Newark airport car service

When Newark has the better flight, Bordentown's Turnpike access makes it straightforward. Interchange 7 sits on US-206 in Bordentown Township, and from there the Turnpike runs north to Newark Liberty, about 52 miles and usually around 60–75 minutes without heavy traffic. The final stretch near the airport is where delays build on weekday afternoons, so evening flights get a wider buffer.

We monitor arriving flights and adjust for early or late landings. Your chauffeur meets you at the curb under the airport's ground-transportation rules, or inside the terminal on request. More detail is on our Newark airport car service page.

The same Turnpike route continues toward New York. JFK is about 78 miles from Bordentown, usually around 95–120 minutes without heavy traffic, and LaGuardia about 75 miles, usually around 90–120 minutes, with the river crossings deciding much of the time. Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne is about 58 miles, usually around 70–90 minutes, so a cruise departure can start from your front door with the luggage already in the trunk.

Travel to and from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst

Bordentown is close to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Route 68 leaves US-206 in neighboring Mansfield Township and leads south toward the base, a short drive from Turnpike Interchange 7.

  • Airport transfers for service members, families and visitors arriving at PHL or Newark
  • Drop-offs and pickups at the gate or visitor area, following base security rules
  • Rides for families visiting for ceremonies and homecomings, timed to your schedule
  • SUVs and executive vans when there are bags, children or several travelers

Access onto the base itself depends on base security requirements, so confirm yours before travel and tell us where you need to be met.

Frequently asked questions

Is Philadelphia or Newark airport closer to Bordentown?

Philadelphia International is closer: about 43 miles, usually around 50–65 minutes without heavy traffic. Newark Liberty is about 52 miles, usually around 60–75 minutes, reached by the New Jersey Turnpike from Interchange 7. Both are practical, so most Bordentown travelers choose by flight, fare and departure time.

How long is a car service from Bordentown to Newark airport?

Usually around 60–75 minutes without heavy traffic for the roughly 52 miles. Most rides join the New Jersey Turnpike at Interchange 7 on US-206 and head north. Weekday afternoon traffic near the airport and holiday weekends can add 30 minutes or more, so we build a buffer into evening departures.

Can you drive me to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst?

Yes. Route 68 runs from US-206 in Mansfield Township toward the base. We drop off and pick up at the gate or visitor area, and any travel onto the base follows base security rules, so check your access requirements in advance. We often pair these rides with Philadelphia or Newark airport transfers.

What is the difference between Bordentown City and Bordentown Township?

They are separate municipalities. The city split from the township in 1877 and is the small historic downtown along the Delaware, while the larger, more suburban township surrounds it on most sides. They share a municipal court and a regional school district. We serve both, so just give us the full address.

Can you take a group from Bordentown to Atlantic City?

Yes. Atlantic City is about 69 miles from Bordentown, usually around 80–100 minutes without heavy traffic. An executive van or stretch limousine keeps a group together for a birthday, bachelor or bachelorette trip, and we can wait, return at a set time or quote a separate ride home.

Can you meet me at the Bordentown River LINE station?

Yes. The Bordentown station on Park Street, a short walk from Farnsworth Avenue, is served by NJ Transit's River LINE light rail between Trenton and Camden. Tell us your train and we time the pickup to its arrival, then take you home, to a hotel or straight to an airport.
